NOTICE OF CONTRACT RATIFICATION VOTE

All members of the bargaining unit, all FSU Graduate Assistants (research and teaching assistants), are eligible to vote.

Please bring a photo ID to the polls.

Location: In front of the HCB Building (across from Oglesby Union)

Tuesday October 18th 10am-2 pm

Wednesday October 19th 10am-2 pm

The votes will be counted after the polls close at 2 pm on Wednesday in front of the HCB Building.

Collective Bargaining Agreement Summary

2011 Reopener

UFF-FSU-GAU and the FSU-Board of Trustees have reached an agreement on the first reopener to the 2010-2013 employment contract for all FSU graduate employees. Many important gains have been secured for thousands of academic professionals teaching classes and conducting cutting edge research at FSU. The union encourages a strong YES vote and asks for your vote.

The 2011 Reopener agreement states:

  1. The BOT shall implement a one-time payment of $300 to each in-unit graduate assistant working a minimum of a 0.5 FTE appointment and a one –time payment of $150 to each in-unit graduate assistant working on a 0.25 to 0.49 FTE appointment.
  2. In order to be eligible, Graduate Assistants must be performing their assignments satisfactorily and be in active payroll status on October 14, 2011. Graduate Assistants must also maintain satisfactory student status to receive the bonus payment.
  3. Payments will be distributed in November 2011
